David Croft affirms Antonelli will become a younger F1 champion than Verstappen

He affirmed that Antonelli is on track to become a younger F1 world champion than Max Verstappen - a driver once regarded as a phenomenon of the global Formula 1 stage. "Twelve months ago, Antonelli was going through a difficult period after the podium in Canada. But now, everything has changed completely," Croft shared on television. He compared Antonelli's trajectory to Verstappen - who debuted in F1 at 17, won his first race at 18, and claimed his first championship at 24. "Antonelli is going faster than Max. He will be a younger champion than Max, a younger polesitter, a younger grand prix winner. He's getting everything done very, very early and showing remarkable maturity." Having followed Antonelli since his early days in F1, I recognize that Croft's assessment accurately reflects the maturation trajectory the Italian driver has charted. He does not read the future - he simply reads the data more carefully than anyone else: every lap, every corner, every pit decision. In terms of achievements, Antonelli has recorded 7 F1 wins, including back-to-back victories at China and Japan that propelled him to the top of the standings.
